About Kape Parola

A small family-run cafe in Puerto Galera

Kape Parola is a small family-run coffee shop in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. It sits on the family property along the road to the Puerto Galera lighthouse at Escarceo Point.

The family story

The road up to the parola — the lighthouse — is a place for walkers and joggers, with a breathtaking view along the way. Sitting in her garden beside that road, Jackie would greet the people passing by, and often wave friends in for a drink, a chat and a good laugh.

That is how Kape Parola began, in January 2026: a small, friendly place where people can meet and take a break over good coffee. Jackie runs it herself, and what she hopes you feel when you stop is simple — a warm, friendly welcome.

“Parola” is the Tagalog word for lighthouse, and the cafe takes its name from the Puerto Galera lighthouse at the top of the road.

The property and Rosalia's Place

Kape Parola and Rosalia's Place share one owner and one place: the cafe sits on the same family property as Rosalia's Place, an apartment for rent. Stop for coffee on your way to the lighthouse, or stay nearby and make a morning of it.
